A practical, values-led approach to workplace training

Forward Focus Training is a Scotland-based provider of workplace wellbeing and inclusion training. We work with organisations, employability services, and support programmes across the UK.
Our training is rooted in real workplace experience and focuses on what actually works in practice. We help organisations move beyond good intentions and build approaches to wellbeing and inclusion that can be applied day to day.

Why Forward Focus Training was Created

Forward Focus Training developed from direct experience working in employability and inclusive employment settings, supporting people with health conditions and disabilities to move towards and sustain work.

Over time, this work highlighted how often good intentions around wellbeing and inclusion break down in practice, particularly when organisations lack clear guidance or practical support. Forward Focus Training was created to bridge that gap, offering training that is grounded in real workplace systems and focused on what can realistically be applied day to day.

Our workplace wellbeing and inclusion training

Our training focuses on a small number of core areas, allowing us to work in depth rather than offering a long list of generic courses.

Led by Experience

Professional Leadership

Forward Focus Training is led by Amanda O’Connell, a Certified Disability Management Professional with experience across employability, workplace wellbeing, and inclusion. She delivers much of the training directly and is supported, where needed, by a small network of associate trainers who share the same practical, people-first approach. All training is grounded in real workplace experience, with a focus on what actually works for organisations and their staff, prioritising clarity, confidence, and practical action over theory-heavy content.

“I started Forward Focus Training after seeing the difference it can make when people feel supported and included at work. The aim has always been to help organisations turn good intentions around wellbeing and inclusion into practical, everyday action.”
